WNE College of Pharmacy Faculty Earn National Honors for Excellence in Teaching, Research, and Leadership

黨Ƶ University (WNE) proudly announces that multiple faculty members from its College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences have been recognized with distinguished awards and honors for their excellence in education, research, and service. These accolades highlight WNE’s commitment to fostering innovation, leadership, and academic excellence within the pharmacy profession. 

Dr. Daniel R. Kennedy Named AACP 2025 Distinguished Teaching Scholar 

Daniel R. Kennedy, Ph.D., has been named a 2025 Distinguished Teaching Scholar by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). This prestigious recognition honors faculty members who demonstrate outstanding contributions to the scholarship of teaching and learning. Dr. Kennedy’s dedication to student engagement, curriculum development, and educational innovation has made a significant impact on pharmacy education at WNE and beyond. 

Dr. Arin Whitman-Jemison Recognized for Leadership in Oncology Pharmacy 

Arin Whitman-Jemison, Pharm.D., has been recognized for her leadership as an oncology pharmacist and is being featured in AACP’s Pharmacy4Me program, which is designed to recruit and inspire future pharmacy students. Her dedication to advancing pharmaceutical care in oncology and mentoring the next generation of pharmacists underscores her commitment to the profession and patient care. 

Dr. Charles Caley Named Fellow of the American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists (AAPP) 

Charles Caley, Pharm.D., BCPP, has been selected as a 2025 Fellow of the American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists (AAPP). This prestigious honor recognizes members who have demonstrated excellence in advancing the practice of psychiatric pharmacy and have made significant contributions to the mission and goals of AAPP. Dr. Caley’s distinguished career in mental health pharmacotherapy, leadership in psychiatric pharmacy, and dedication to education, research, and advocacy have earned him this well-deserved recognition. He will be formally recognized at the 2025 AAPP Annual Meeting on April 28, 2025, in Salt Lake City. 

“These well-deserved honors reflect the dedication and expertise of our faculty,” said John Pezzuto, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at WNE. “Dr. Kennedy, Dr. Caley, and Dr. Whitman-Jemison are exemplary educators and researchers who continue to elevate the field of pharmacy and inspire our students.” 

The faculty members will be recognized at upcoming national conferences and award ceremonies, further solidifying WNE’s reputation as a leader in pharmacy education.
